Is it worth it?

You've finally got the thing finished. The ebook, the little software tool, the members area. Then you look at the page you're about to send people to, and it looks like exactly what it is, something you put together yourself in an afternoon. Nobody says anything, but you can feel it. That's the gap GFX-1 is aimed at. It's a design shop rather than something you download. You tell them what you need, a header, a 3D cover mockup, an optin box, a whole minisite, and they make it for your site specifically. That's the part worth paying for. A stock pack gives you something hundreds of other people also have. The honest catch is house style. The list on the page tells you a lot: 3D eCovers, CD and DVD case art, Facebook timeline covers. That's a particular era of internet design, and if your audience expects flatter, modern, mobile-first pages, some of it will read as dated. The page also skips what you actually need to know: what a header costs versus a full minisite, turnaround time, how many revisions you get, what happens if you don't like the result. Ask all of that before you pay. A design service that answers those clearly is usually a good one.

Pros

  • Custom work rather than a template everyone else is using
  • Covers a wide range at one place, from single headers to full minisites
  • Optin and testimonial boxes arrive with the HTML, so you can drop them in
  • Useful if you genuinely cannot design and don't want to learn

Cons

  • Design style leans on an older look (3D eCovers, DVD cases, Facebook timeline covers) that may not suit a modern audience
  • No price, turnaround time, revision limit or refund terms stated anywhere on the page
  • The page mixes in recommendations for unrelated sites and coaching, which makes it harder to work out what you're actually buying

What you get

Design work made to order: website header graphics, 3D eCover and software box mockups, CD/DVD label and case artwork, membership card designs, optin boxes and testimonial boxes that come with the HTML pages built, and complete minisite designs. It's a design service, so you brief them and they produce artwork for your site rather than sending you a stock pack.

Before you buy

  • Ask to see recent work in the specific style you want, not just the general portfolio
  • Get the price, delivery time and number of revisions in writing before paying
  • Check which file formats you receive, especially editable source files, so you can make small changes yourself later

Who it suits

Someone who has a finished product and a page that lets it down, and would rather pay a designer than fight with software themselves
