Is it worth it?
You looked at a pair of boots once and now they follow you into every app. Your phone knows where you sleep. Someone sold your number and now it's three spam calls a day. At some point that stops being background noise and starts being something you want to fix. The Ghost Phone is ZeroGhost's answer: a Google Pixel with stock Android wiped off and GrapheneOS put on in its place. GrapheneOS is a well regarded, genuinely private Android build. It's also free, open source, and something you can flash onto a Pixel yourself in under an hour if you're comfortable with a USB cable and a set of instructions. So what you're paying for is the hardware plus somebody else doing that part and handing you a phone that's ready to go. Whether that's worth it comes down to how you feel about that hour. If unlocking a bootloader sounds like a bad evening, paying to skip it is fair enough. If you've done it before, you're paying a premium for setup. The privacy side here is real and not something you have to take on faith. The tradeoff is just as real: without Google Play Services, some banking apps, tap to pay and ride share apps may not behave the way you expect. Check the apps you actually depend on before you order.

- 128GB storage on every tier, with no upgrade option

Before you buy
- List the apps you can't live without and check they run on GrapheneOS first
- Look up what a used Pixel 7 or 7a actually sells for, so you know what the setup is costing you
- Ask about return shipping and hardware warranty before the 60 day window starts, since sending a phone back isn't the same as cancelling a download
Who it suits
Someone who genuinely wants off Google's tracking, doesn't want to flash a phone themselves, and can live without Play Services
