Is it worth it?
You've been seeing someone for a few months and you can't read him. He was keen, then he went quiet, then he was keen again, and now you're replaying conversations at 11pm looking for the bit where it changed. Or you're years into a marriage and he feels like he's somewhere else. That's who ends up on this page. The Bonding Stages is Bob Grant's take on how men move from interest into actual attachment, and where it tends to stall. He's a licensed counsellor working out of Acworth, Georgia. The pitch is a video with a text version, and the site itself is careful: it says results vary, that this isn't a substitute for personalised help, and that the client stories have been changed or combined. That's more honest than most pages in this corner of the internet. What you're really buying is a frame. Somewhere to put behaviour that currently feels random. For a lot of people that's worth the money, because the distress isn't only about him, it's about not knowing what's happening. A model, even an imperfect one, quiets that. What it isn't: therapy, a diagnosis, or a sequence of steps that makes one specific man commit. If he's checked out, or there's contempt or worse in the relationship, this won't touch it and the money is better spent on a session with somebody real.
Pros
- Written by a counsellor, not an anonymous 'coach'
- The page itself admits results vary and it isn't therapy
- Gives you a way to interpret behaviour that feels chaotic
- Costs a fraction of a few counselling sessions
Cons
- Recurring billing, so it keeps charging until you cancel
- The page never says what you receive, in what format, or how long it takes
- It's one man's model of men, presented as general truth, with no evidence offered
What you get
The sales page is a video pitch with a text version underneath, and it's unusually quiet about the contents. Expect a digital programme you get access to right after paying, built around Bob Grant's account of the stages a man moves through as he attaches, and what stalls each one. Billing is recurring, so something continues month to month. The page doesn't say what.
Before you buy
- Find the cancellation link before you pay, since the billing repeats
- Check the refund window and how you claim it at checkout, the page doesn't state it
- If there's abuse, addiction or contempt involved, take that to a licensed professional instead
Who it suits
Women puzzled by a man who runs hot and cold, who want a calmer way to read the situation rather than a script to fix him
