Is it worth it?
If you're reading this, there's a fair chance you've watched your kid start every game, keep their grades up, and still hear nothing from a single college. The club coach says they'll make calls. Nobody does. Meanwhile other families seem to know something you don't. The Rookie Package is the do it yourself version of what a recruiting consultant charges a lot more for. It's a written system, not video lessons and not a done for you service. You get templates and a process: how to cut game film so a coach watches past the first ten seconds, a profile shaped around what coaches scan for, and letters you personalise and send yourself. The Excel journal is the unglamorous part that matters most, because recruiting is mostly a follow up game and it's easy to lose track of who you emailed back in March. Be clear about what it isn't. Nobody contacts coaches for you, and no template gets an athlete recruited who isn't already close to that level. The work is yours, an hour or two most weeks, for months. The page also doesn't say who wrote the advice or what their recruiting background is, which is worth knowing when you're buying someone's process. If you'll actually do the sending, it's a cheap way to stop waiting on other people.
