Is it worth it?

You're decent on the ball but games keep happening to you. You get it, you panic, you give it away, and afterwards you can't work out whether the problem is your touch, your fitness or your head. Or you're a parent watching a kid who trains hard and still comes off looking lost. That's who this is for. My Goal is a £7.99 PDF from a former player writing under Sporting Graffiti, taking you from Marseille cage football to the Premier League tunnel. The pitch is that it isn't drills you could find on YouTube, it's football IQ: why you're standing where you're standing, what to look at before the ball arrives, and how to keep showing up when the basics are boring. Take that as the seller's framing, not a measured claim. At this price it's a paperback's worth of someone's thinking, not a coaching programme. There's no video, no feedback, nobody watching you play. You read it, pick two ideas, and try them at Tuesday training. The honest value is a change in how you see the game, and that's worth having if it lands. The page doesn't say how long the book is, and that matters at a fiver-and-a-bit. It also doesn't state a refund policy, which you'd want to know before clicking.

Pros

  • Cheap enough to risk, one payment, no subscription
  • Arrives instantly as a PDF you keep
  • Covers the thinking side, not just drills
  • Short and actionable rather than a heavy manual

Cons

  • Page never says how many pages or how long it is
  • No refund terms stated anywhere on the page
  • Text only, so no video, no feedback on your actual playing
  • Author's playing background isn't verifiable from the page

What you get

A PDF e-book called My Goal, downloaded straight after payment, split into three parts: technical work on the ball, tactical awareness (positioning, reading play, team shape) and physical plus mental conditioning. It's written as principles and bite-sized strategies you can take into your next session rather than a fixed week-by-week programme. Any phone, laptop or PC with a PDF viewer opens it.

Before you buy

  • Check the refund terms at checkout, the sales page doesn't give them
  • If you want video demonstrations or personal feedback, this isn't that
  • Ask yourself whether reading alone will change anything, or whether you need a coach watching you

Who it suits

Players (or football parents) who want the tactical and mental side explained cheaply, and will actually act on it
