SaleHoo review
Find vetted suppliers for an online store without gambling on strangers on Alibaba

Is it worth it?
You've probably spent a few evenings watching people explain how they make money selling things online, and the bit nobody explains properly is where the products actually come from. Then you go looking yourself and hit a wall of Alibaba listings, middlemen pretending to be manufacturers, and minimum orders of 500 units. SaleHoo is aimed squarely at that wall. It's a searchable directory of roughly 8,000 suppliers the company says it checks by hand, plus a product research tool, Shopify importing and some video training. Day to day you use it like a filtered search engine. Pick a category, see which suppliers carry it, check where they ship and what their minimum order is, then email them directly with the contact details listed. The Starter plan caps you at 100 supplier contacts and 200 imports a month, which is more than enough early on. What it isn't is a business. It won't find customers, write your listings or make anything sell. Calling products 'winning' is their judgement, not a verified outcome, and the page says 2.5 million products in one place and 1.6 million in another, so hold the big numbers loosely. But if your actual bottleneck is 'who do I buy from and can I trust them', this solves that one problem for not much money.
Pros
- Cheap entry point compared to most e-commerce tools
- Direct supplier contact details, no gatekeeping
- 60 day refund window, stated plainly
- Works with any sales channel, not just Shopify
Cons
- Both plans are billed annually, so Starter is about $108 upfront and Pro about $588, not $9 and $49
- The lifetime plan price isn't shown anywhere on the pricing page
- Supplier vetting and 'winning product' scores are their own assessment, with no independent evidence offered
What you get
A searchable directory of 8,000+ suppliers with real contact details, a product research tool with sales and competition data, one-click importing into Shopify, a profit calculator, supplier email templates and a Dropshipping on Shopify video course. Starter connects one store with 200 imports and 100 supplier contacts a month. Pro adds three stores, unlimited contacts and an Amazon launch course.
Before you buy
- Check the total annual charge at checkout before confirming, not the monthly figure
- You'll still need a Shopify subscription and your own ad or marketing budget on top
- Search the directory in your first week for the specific niche you have in mind, while the 60 day refund still applies
Who it suits
Someone starting an online store who is stuck on sourcing and wants a shortcut past months of supplier research. Not for anyone expecting it to run or grow the business for them.
