Is it worth it?
You've got a video half finished and the thing stopping you is the voice. Maybe you hate hearing yourself recorded. Maybe your room echoes, or the kids are home, or English isn't your first language and you're tired of re-recording the same sentence. Paying someone on a freelance site means waiting days and starting over if you don't like it. Speechelo is a browser tool that turns typed text into a voiceover you download as an audio file. Paste, pick a voice, pick a tone, generate. The output is genuinely better than the flat robot voices you remember, because it adds pauses and inflection, and for a talking head explainer or a product demo most viewers won't think twice. The seller's promise that nobody can tell it's AI is their promise, not a fact. Listen closely and you'll hear it on longer scripts, especially with unusual names or technical words. Where it earns its money is speed. A three minute script takes a couple of minutes instead of an afternoon. You can rewrite one line and regenerate without re-recording anything.
