Is it worth it?
You've tried the thing where you eat less and move more, and it either didn't shift much or it shifted and came back. Now you're reading about gut bacteria, and honestly the idea is appealing: maybe the problem isn't willpower, maybe it's what's living in your digestive system. That's a kinder story than the one you've been telling yourself. Here's the fair version. The strains on the label do have real research behind them, and the page lists it, which is more than a lot of supplements bother with. Several of those studies are genuine randomised trials. But read what they actually found: modest reductions in visceral fat and waist measurement over months, in specific populations, at specific doses. That is not the same as the page's promise that you can stuff your face and lose weight. Nobody's study showed that, and the page doesn't claim any trial was run on this particular blend. Where a probiotic genuinely earns its place is digestion. Plenty of people find bloating, regularity and general gut comfort improve, and that's worth something on its own. If you go in expecting that, plus maybe a small nudge alongside actual diet changes, you'll probably be fine with it. If you're buying it instead of changing anything, you'll be disappointed and out the money.
Pros
- Names its strains and links the actual studies, which is rare
- The research cited is real, including randomised human trials
- Simple to take, one capsule with water, no regime to follow
- Digestive benefits are the most likely thing you'll notice
Cons
- The headline promise, eat what you want and lose weight, isn't supported by any study on the page
- No trial on this specific blend is claimed, only on individual strains elsewhere
- Price, bottle size, dose and refund terms aren't stated on the page
- Recurring billing, so it keeps charging until you cancel
BioFit Probiotic
A daily probiotic capsule aimed at gut balance, digestion and gradual weight loss
What you get
A bottle of BioFit capsules, a probiotic blend built around strains named on the page (Lactobacillus gasseri, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Bifidobacterium breve and Bacillus subtilis). One or two capsules a day with water, taken with or without food. No plan, no app, no coaching. It ships physically, so there's a wait, and it's set up as a recurring order unless you say otherwise.
Before you buy
- Check the total price, how many capsules per bottle and the refund window before you enter card details
- Find the cancellation steps for the recurring order and note them somewhere
- If you're pregnant, on medication or have a diagnosed condition, ask your GP first, the page says this too
- Give it 8 to 12 weeks before judging, probiotic studies run over months, not days
Who it suits
Someone curious about gut health who wants digestive support alongside real diet changes, and who reads the studies rather than the headline
