Is it worth it?
You come home, the cat yowls at you, and you genuinely don't know if that's hello, feed me, or leave me alone. Maybe it's a rescue who hides under the bed, or one that bites mid-cuddle for no reason you can see. That gap is what this book sells into. The Cat Language Bible is a digital guide to reading cat signals (tail position, ear angle, the slow blink, the different meows) and to using your own tone and body language so your cat reads you more clearly. The framing is a study from Tokyo on cats recognising names and voices. Cats really do respond to their names and to familiar voices, that part isn't made up, but the page stretches it into promises of near conversation and cites no paper you can go and look up. Treat the big claims as advertising. What it's actually good at is attention. Most people skim their cat. Spend two weeks noticing what the tail does before a swipe, or which meow means the water bowl, and you'll probably get on better with your cat, whether or not the book's theory is right. Don't expect obedience. A cat that ignores you will carry on ignoring you. If you want a calmer, less confusing relationship with a pet you already love, it's a cheap thing to try.
Pros
- Cheap next to a single behaviourist consultation
- Instant download, nothing to wait for in the post
- Gets you observing your cat properly, which helps on its own
- Written for ordinary owners, not trainers
Cons
- The Tokyo research is described but never named or linked
- Promises a level of two way conversation it can't really deliver
- Page never states the price, format or length before checkout

What you get
A digital guide you download and read on a phone, tablet or laptop, built around Jonas Jurgella's work on feline body language, vocal tone and word recognition. Expect chapters on reading tail, ear and eye signals, plus phrases and voice exercises to try on your cat. The sales page is a video pitch, so the exact page count, bonuses and format are not spelled out until the checkout screen.
Before you buy
- Check the price and the refund window on the order page before paying
- Confirm it's a download you read yourself, not a physical book or a course
- If your cat's behaviour changed suddenly, see a vet first, pain looks like moodiness
Who it suits
Owners of a shy, vocal or newly adopted cat who want to understand it better, not people looking to fix a specific behaviour problem
