Is it worth it?

You catch your face in a bright bathroom mirror and it looks tired in a way moisturiser isn't fixing. Maybe there are breakouts you thought you'd left behind at twenty. That's usually where a product like this finds you. Derma Prime Plus is a daily supplement, and the page you land on first isn't really about the supplement. It's Dr. Ally Ray, who introduces herself as a hepatologist of fifteen years, giving five skin tips: sleep eight hours, drink water, use SPF 30 or above, wipe down your phone, keep showers short and lukewarm. The advice is fine. It's also the same advice any dermatologist gives away, and none of it needs a purchase. Then it turns into a pitch for the pill. Worth saying once, plainly: the text makes claims about your skin without offering a single study, ingredient list or dose to back them up. A liver specialist writing about skin isn't disqualifying, but it isn't a credential here either. In its favour: it's a one-time payment with no rolling subscription, and taking something once a day is an easy habit to keep. If you already take supplements and you're relaxed about trying one more, go ahead. If you want something proven, your money goes further on a retinoid and sunscreen.

Pros

  • One-off purchase, no rolling subscription
  • The five tips are sensible and cost nothing
  • Written presentation you can skim rather than a long video
  • A once-a-day capsule is easy to stick to

Cons

  • The presentation never names ingredients, dose or price
  • No studies or results offered for what it claims to do for skin
  • The free tips do most of the talking, the product itself is barely described

What you get

What you first see is a written presentation rather than a video: an introduction from Dr. Ally Ray and five basic skin habits (eight hours' sleep, more water, SPF 30 or higher, wiping your phone, short lukewarm showers). The product itself is a supplement you take by mouth each day. The text shown stops before naming ingredients, dose, bottle size or what the price covers.

Before you buy

  • Find the actual price and how many bottles it covers, the presentation doesn't say
  • Read the refund window and who pays return postage at checkout
  • If you take medication or have liver or kidney problems, show the ingredient list to your GP or pharmacist first

Who it suits

Someone happy to try an unproven daily capsule as a one-off buy; not for anyone who wants evidence before paying
