Is it worth it?
You watch your kid apologise for existing. They won't put their hand up, they quit things before anyone can judge them, and when you tell them they're brilliant they look at you like you're lying. That's usually what brings someone here. Not a crisis, just a slow worry that a small person is deciding early that they're not much good. This is a certification, so it trains the adult. It isn't a programme you sit a child in front of. You learn a way of talking to children about how they see themselves, then use it in ordinary moments: the car ride home, the homework meltdown, the friendship that went wrong. Parents buy it for their own kids. Teachers, youth workers and people who want to coach children buy it for the credential. What it really sells is a change in how you respond, and that's a fair thing to buy. Most of us default to reassurance, which kids bounce straight off. A structured set of better questions does land differently. Go in clear eyed, though. A certificate from a private course is not a licence or a regulated qualification, and no school or employer is obliged to recognise it. And if your child is dealing with something serious, this isn't that. You want a professional.
