LeanBiome review
A daily gut bacteria capsule aimed at stubborn weight, hunger and cravings

Is it worth it?
You've cut portions, walked more, maybe done a few strict weeks, and the scale barely moved. Meanwhile someone at work eats whatever they like and stays the same size. That unfairness is exactly what LeanBiome is aimed at. The pitch is that lean people have a different mix of gut bacteria, and a daily capsule can shift yours. The link between gut bacteria and body weight is a real area of research, and the twin study the page points to exists. The jump from that to 'these nine species will make you naturally lean' is the seller's claim, not something the page demonstrates. Lactobacillus gasseri has been trialled for belly fat, but effects in that literature are modest, not the transformation described here. Greenselect Phytosome is a green tea extract with some supporting trials, again for small changes. So treat it as a possible small nudge rather than a mechanism. If you're already eating and moving in a way you'd defend, adding one capsule a day costs you almost no effort and might help a bit. If you're hoping it works while nothing else changes, you'll probably be disappointed and several payments down. One practical thing: this is billed on a recurring basis, so know whether you're buying a bottle or starting repeat shipments.
Pros
- Simple daily capsule, nothing to learn or follow
- Caffeine free, so it won't affect sleep
- Named ingredients that do have published research behind them
- Easy to stop if a month or two does nothing
Cons
- Page promises far more than the cited research actually shows
- Recurring billing, easy to keep paying after you've lost interest
- No price, refund window, capsule count or timeline given upfront
What you get
Capsules taken daily, containing a blend of nine probiotic bacteria species (Lactobacillus gasseri among them) plus Greenselect Phytosome, a caffeine free green tea extract. No app, coaching, meal plan or workout comes with it. The page doesn't state capsules per bottle, the daily dose, or how many months they expect you to stay on it, so check the label before you commit.
Before you buy
- Check at checkout whether you're buying once or subscribing, and how to cancel
- Ask your GP or pharmacist first if you take medication, are pregnant, or have a gut condition
- Decide now how long you'll trial it (say eight weeks) and what would count as it working
Who it suits
Someone already doing the basics who wants to try a probiotic alongside them, and who can afford to spend a couple of months finding out
