Is it worth it?
Locerin is the women's product in this seller's hair range, and the distinction matters more than it first looks. Hair loss in women usually has a different cause from the male pattern kind: iron deficiency, thyroid trouble, the months after pregnancy, the menopause, or a stressful stretch that pushes a lot of hairs into shedding at once. Several of those are correctable, and several need a blood test rather than a supplement. The formula is a wide one, sixteen ingredients, leaning on biotin, zinc, copper and selenium with plant extracts around them. Where a woman is genuinely short on one of those, topping it up can help, and that is the honest case for the product. Notably the formula does not contain iron, which is the single most common deficiency behind hair shedding in women, so it does not address the most likely nutritional cause. The page offers before and after photographs and a high satisfaction figure, and no trial of the formula itself. Biotin is worth one specific warning: it interferes with some blood tests, including thyroid and cardiac markers, which is awkward given the thing you most want tested is your thyroid.
Pros
- Formulated for women rather than being a men's product relabelled
- Sixteen ingredients, all listed openly with doses
- The nutrients involved do have a real role in how hair grows
- Capsules, so nothing to apply or rinse out
Cons
- Contains no iron, which is the most common nutritional cause of hair shedding in women
- Biotin can skew thyroid and cardiac blood tests, and thyroid is a common cause worth testing
- No study of the finished formula, only photographs and testimonials
- Sixteen ingredients means modest amounts of each
- Does nothing about the hormonal or medical causes it is most likely to be

A 16 ingredient supplement for women whose hair is shedding or losing its thickness
What you get
Capsules taken daily, with sixteen listed ingredients including horsetail, bamboo shoot extract, nettle, field horsetail, biotin, zinc, selenium, copper and a set of B vitamins. A food supplement, not a medicine.
Before you buy
- Ask for blood tests first, iron and ferritin and thyroid, because those are the common causes and they are fixable
- Tell whoever orders the tests that you are taking biotin, since it can make thyroid results read wrong
- Shedding after pregnancy or a stressful period usually settles by itself within six to nine months
- Check the selenium against anything else you take, as the safe ceiling is low
Who it suits
Women who have already had iron and thyroid checked and want to cover a nutritional gap while the cause is being dealt with properly
