Is it worth it?
Most people reading about this have a quiet, specific worry. They brush, they floss, they keep mints in the car, and by mid afternoon the taste is back. Or a partner said something. Or the hygienist mentioned bleeding gums at the last checkup. PurDentix is a chewable probiotic aimed at exactly that. The thinking is that your mouth has its own bacterial population, and that adding friendly strains can crowd out the ones producing the sulphur compounds behind bad breath. That idea isn't fringe. The Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium strains named here have been studied for breath and gum health, and some people do notice a difference over a few weeks. What the page doesn't show is a trial of this particular product. The claims about plaque, tartar and round the clock protection are the seller's, offered without results attached. And no supplement dissolves tartar that has already hardened onto a tooth. That comes off with a scaler at the dentist, or not at all. If your breath problem comes from a cracked filling, gum disease, reflux or a dry mouth caused by medication, this won't reach the cause.
