Is it worth it?
If you're reading about this, it's probably because things aren't moving the way they should. Maybe you're bloated by mid afternoon, maybe you clock where the bathrooms are before you go anywhere, maybe you've been quietly uncomfortable for months and haven't mentioned it to anyone. That's who SynoGut is aimed at. It's a capsule supplement built mostly around fibre. Psyllium, flaxseed, glucomannan, oat, prune and apple pectin are all bulking or softening fibres, and there's aloe vera, bentonite clay, black walnut and one probiotic strain (L. acidophilus) alongside them. Psyllium in particular has a decent track record for constipation, so the general idea isn't unreasonable. What the page doesn't do is show any of that. No doses are listed, no studies are cited, and the claims about digestion and energy are the seller's, offered without evidence. The price is the sticking point. It's $69 for 30 days. Plain psyllium husk from a pharmacy costs a fraction of that and is the same active idea. What you're paying extra for is the blend, the capsules, and not having to stir powder into water every morning. If you've never properly tried fibre, start cheap and see if it helps. If you have, and capsules are the thing that would make you actually stick with it, this is a workable if expensive way to do that.
Pros
- One off payment, no rebilling
- Ingredients are recognisable, mostly ordinary fibres
- Psyllium and flaxseed do have real support for constipation
- Capsules are easier to keep up with than powder
Cons
- Costs far more than plain psyllium husk for a similar effect
- No ingredient amounts or evidence shown anywhere on the page
- Page says nothing about refunds, shipping cost or delivery time
- The three bonus ebook descriptions don't match their own titles, which is sloppy
What you get
A bottle of capsules, a 30 day supply, for $69 one off with no subscription. The blend is psyllium, bentonite clay, black walnut, oat, flaxseed, prune, aloe vera, L. acidophilus, apple pectin and glucomannan. You take them daily with plenty of water, though the page never says how many capsules per serving. The six bottle bundle adds three downloadable ebooks.
Before you buy
- Ask about the refund window and shipping before paying, since the page doesn't state either
- Check with a pharmacist if you take regular medication, as fibre can affect how drugs are absorbed
- See a doctor first if the problem is new, painful, or comes with bleeding or weight loss
Who it suits
Someone with mild, ordinary sluggish digestion who wants an all in one fibre capsule and doesn't mind paying for the convenience. Anyone cost conscious should try plain psyllium first.
