Is it worth it?
It's 2am, you've been awake since midnight, and you're doing the maths on how many hours are left before the alarm. Maybe you've already tried melatonin. Maybe your partner says you snore, or you wake up with a dry mouth and a sore throat. That's the person this is aimed at: someone whose sleep problem seems to start in the airway, not in the head. Breathing for Sleep is a self-help programme built around how you breathe at night. Its reference list points clearly at where it goes: nasal versus mouth breathing, tongue position and tongue strength, the hypoglossal nerve, pillow and head position, blue light, melatonin. The sources are real and mostly reputable (Harvard Health, Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins, various PubMed papers). What a reference list can't tell you is whether the exercises built on top of them actually deliver what the seller promises, and there's no trial of the programme itself on offer. Worth saying: the underlying ideas aren't fringe. Nasal breathing and tongue and throat exercises (myofunctional therapy) do have some genuine evidence behind them for snoring and mild sleep apnoea. They also take weeks of daily practice, not one night. If you want tonight fixed, this isn't that. The page is almost entirely citations. It doesn't say what format you get, how long it runs, or what it costs.
Pros
- Built on real, checkable published sources
- Targets a physical cause rather than just habits
- Nothing to swallow, no ongoing purchase
- One-off payment, no recurring charge
Cons
- The sales page shows references and little else, no format, length or price
- Citing studies isn't the same as testing this programme
- Airway exercises take weeks of daily practice before anything shifts
What you get
The page itself shows almost nothing beyond a long references list, so treat this as a digital programme you download or stream rather than anything that arrives in the post. From the sources cited, expect instruction on nasal breathing, tongue posture and tongue strength work, head and pillow position, plus advice on evening light and melatonin. Format and length aren't stated anywhere before checkout.
Before you buy
- Check the refund window and what you need to do to claim it, the page links a return policy but doesn't summarise it
- If you snore heavily, gasp or stop breathing at night, get assessed for sleep apnoea first, exercises aren't a substitute for diagnosis
- Look for a stated format and running time before paying, so you know whether it's a short PDF or a full video course
Who it suits
Snorers and mouth breathers who'll actually do a small daily exercise routine for a couple of months
