Is it worth it?
You've gone vegan, or you're trying to, and you've hit the wall everyone hits around week three. It's pasta again. Or that same stir fry. You're not short on willpower, you're short on ideas, and scrolling recipe blogs at 6pm while the fridge stays shut is its own kind of exhausting. This is a straightforward fix for that. 250 recipes, sorted by meal, using ingredients you can get at a normal supermarket. Chickpeas, lentils, tofu, sweet potato, the usual plant-based workhorses. Nothing exotic, nothing that needs a dehydrator. What you're really buying is a break from decision fatigue. Open it, pick something, cook it. For under ten quid that's decent value, roughly the cost of one takeaway. Be realistic about what it isn't. The page says recipes are nutritionally balanced and designed for essential nutrients, but there's no nutritionist named and no macro breakdowns shown, so treat that as the seller's claim rather than a proven fact. If you need B12 or iron guidance, get that elsewhere. There's also repetition in the sample list (tofu scramble and lentil soup appear more than once), so 250 may include some overlap across categories. If you're an experienced vegan cook with a shelf of cookbooks, you'll find little new. If you're newish and stuck, it does the job.
Pros
- Cheap, one-off payment, no subscription
- Common supermarket ingredients
- Organised by meal so it's easy to browse
- Instant download, useable the same evening
Cons
- Some recipes appear in more than one section, so 250 may overstate the variety
- Nutrition claims are made without any named expert or nutritional data shown
- No photos are mentioned, so you may be cooking blind
